I managed to find stock footage of a fox walking. Taking inspiration from Chris Shepherd’s style I started rotoscoping. I’m pleased with the result as it does effectively show a fox walking. I made mistakes here and there, for example the video above is what happened when I copy and pasted the layers to try to make a loop, but did it wrong. I was still learning a lot while doing this animation, but I found that every time I rotoscoped I was able to do it slightly quicker, and got more used to the process. After this I just needed to add the tori gate, the blooming flowers, and colour the fox grey to be consistent with the previous animation.
