More Backgrounds?

After doing the Tanuki animations I decided to go back and try to make some different options for the backgrounds for the animations. I did another cherry blossom one, and tried doing Japanese grass again. I think the mark making in the grass ones is really effective, it really translates the texture on the leaves.

I do still think the other cherry blossom backgrounds are the ones I will use. I have a tendency to overthink, so because I was trying to make them backgrounds I don’t think they flow and have the freedom of the previous backgrounds. Also I will definitely have the cherry blossoms as a background because they really communicate as flowers, whereas I think the grass could look too abstract as a background.
