Micah Ulrich

After decided to have a slight tarot card theme in the Constructive Visualization project I remembered Micah Ulrich, who I researched for a project in college. I love his art, and most of his art is tarot cards. Because of this there are a lot of recurring themes throughout his pieces. This makes it obvious that they are all linked as a body of work, rather than separate pieces. One of the recurring themes is the red sun-like ring around the character's heads. I think this is very effective because it is in a different colour to the rest of the piece, so it doesn't distract from the rest of the drawing. It is also very simple yet bold, and is a big enough part of the piece to be an obvious link between them.
